Liverpool Muslim Outreach Society (LMOS): Get Involved
The vast majority of Muslims in the United Kingdom live in England (2.6million) which makes up 5.02% of the population. In Liverpool, muslims make up 1.4% of the local population. With the rise of Islamophobia, it is important that we act proactively against it. We have a responsibility to reach out to the residents of Liverpool for them to know who muslims are and what value we bring to British society.
Liverpool Muslim Outreach Society (abbreviated to LMOS) are Liverpool based muslim volunteers who are engaged in local community projects working with all to show them that Islam promotes peace through its teachings. We are a non profit and only raise money for local causes.
We currently have volunteer projects, where we:
– Feed the homeless in the city centre
– Donate food to local foodbanks
– Collect litter with local groups and councillors
– Work with refugees in our city
– Engage with Interfaith dialogue
– Get together for social gatherings
– Collect clothes for local people and causes
You can get involved. If you would like to volunteer any amount of your time to any of the above projects, please get in touch [email protected]
You can also follow us on social media and keep up to date with what we are doing.
