As-Suffa Outreach helping the Homeless in Liverpool
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”
As-Suffa Institute is an educational establishment with a difference to convey the pure teachings of Islam through rigorous and traditional scholarship, by utilising modern teaching methods and creating a nurturing environment where students are supported to achieve their full potential. With the correct understanding of their religion and a conducive environment, students are in a stronger position to fully benefit themselves and their communities.
As part of outreach projects As-Suffa run a Homeless Outreach project, feeding homeless people across seven cities in UK and providing hope for a better tomorrow. The cities covered by As-Suffa outreach are Birmingham, Bolton, Coventry, Leicester, Sheffield, Walsall, and Liverpool.
The aim of this project is to provide assistance to the most vulnerable in the community, irrespective of background. The type of assistance will be based on individual case studies and typically may include financial aid, moral support and/or life skill training.
The Liverpool team operate every fortnight in the heart of the City. The team serves hot meals and warm clothing to any individuals sleeping rough and to a couple of local refugee hostels. We have been working closely with the local Mosques and Community Centres as part of our Winter Item donation appeal.
